Now that I got the formalities out of the way, let's get down to business! The business of chicken and waffles that is!
Step 1: Season and fry chicken wings in coconut oil / avocado oil / lard.
Step 2: While chicken is cookin, start makin paleo waffles.
Here's the how-to.
Paleo Waffles
Ingredients:
4 Large Eggs
4 Large Eggs
4 T. Coconut
Oil
2 T. Organic Maple Syrup
2 T. Vanilla Extract
1/2 C. Water
3 C. Blanched Almond Flour
1 tsp. Sea Salt
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Cinnamon
2 T. Arrowroot Powder
2 Fuji Apples, grated
2 T. Organic Maple Syrup
2 T. Vanilla Extract
1/2 C. Water
3 C. Blanched Almond Flour
1 tsp. Sea Salt
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Cinnamon
2 T. Arrowroot Powder
2 Fuji Apples, grated
Directions:
In a
medium bowl, whisk together eggs, maple syrup, coconut oil vanilla, and water,
until smooth.
In a separate bowl, combine the
almond flour, salt, baking soda, arrowroot powder, and cinnamon.
Add almond flour mixture to
egg mixture. Combine thoroughly
Add apple and mix to combine.
Spoon into heated waffle iron. Cook until golden brown (about 3-4
minutes).
Serve with 1 T. warm organic maple
syrup and pasture butter! Mmmmm!!!

Does the arrowroot do anything special? I'm wondering if I can omit it or add a different kind of flour in it's place? What do you think?
It acts as a binder but i have made these before and forgotten it (oops)! The texture was a little different but they were still tasty. you could sub tapioca starch if you had it...
